Collaboration between Ontario Tech, OPG, and Mitacs to examine the environmental impact of low-carbon power generation

An Ontario Tech study will use "life cycle assessment" (LCA) to evaluate the effects of various energy processes, including SMRs, battery storage, renewables starting at the extraction of raw materials from the ground and ending with the ultimate disposal of all waste.
